China had almost eight million charging piles as of Oct. 31, up 69 percent from a year ago, per statistics from the China Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Promotion Alliance. The figure includes more than 2.5 million public charging piles, rising by more than half.
In 2021, the number of public charging piles in China will reach 2.617 million, a year-on-year increase of 224.3%, serving nearly 8 million new energy vehicles. With the large-scale popularization of new energy vehicles and strong policy support, the scale of China’s charging pile industry has grown rapidly.
